$100 Review Contest Entrant #4

The fourth entrant in the review contest is Beth, over at Beths Ventures. Her blog is about free or low-cost money making online ventures.

Beth’s another Apsense member, and that’s how she heard about the contest. Beth seems to be a big believer in social networking, coming out of Adland Pro.

Beth only has a few categories in her blog, but the biggest one is Join Free::Advertise Free. Free advertising is a great thing, so anyone looking for more links to sites should check out Beth’s blog.

We still have until June 16th for entries to the review contest, so if you’re interested in entering the $100 Review Online Opportunity contest, see the original post for the rules.

$100 Review Contest Entrant #3

BetShopBoy is the third entrant in the review contest, with a blog that has topics about how to earn income online, blogging, search engine optimization, technology, and other topics. The blog has been around since mid-2006, which makes BetShopBoy a successful blogger automatically. Many don’t make it past the 3 to 6 month mark.

BetShopBoy’s blog earns through a variety of sources, including Kontera links, paid reviews, paid posts, and various affiliate programs. In that regard he’s doing everything just right, by not putting all his earnings into one basket. A number of the blog reviews are entries into review contests, which just goes to show that you shouldn’t pass up any easy opportunity to earn money online with your blog.

One of his recent posts was about a viral linking scheme that is a bit better than most I’ve seen, in that you get to use anchor text of your own choosing. That beats the grid of stars hands down for SEO purposes (note that any viral scheme works for increasing your page rank and Technorati authority, since those do not depend on anchor text).

Mixed in with everything else is a great post on buildings with interesting architecture. I loved the pictures!

We still have until June 16th for entries to the review contest, so if you’re interested in entering the $100 Review Online Opportunity contest, see the original post for the rules.

$100 Review Contest Entrant #2

The second entrant into the $100 Review Online Opportunity Contest is Tyson, who writes Some Make Money.

While Tyson doesn’t actually make fun of my logo, he offers a fun alternative to my more traditional logo. Some Make Money covers a variety of topics, including blogging tips, web tools, and what Tyson calls “observations”. Observations seems to be a grab bag of miscellaneous topics, so be sure to take a look to see what’s there. Anyone starting up a blog should pay close attention to his most recent post about how his review of Online Opportunity was plagiarized by a spam blog. It can happen to anyone, and probably will.

While Some Make Money is a new blog with relatively few posts, it looks like it’ll continue to be interesting. I’ve subscribed to catch all the future posts as they come.

$100 Review Contest Entrant #1

The first entrant into the $100 Review Online Opportunity Contest is from Enkay Blog.

Enkay Blog is an interesting mix of posts on technology, finance, and current events. The most recent post caught my eye immediately, about twins being born from different mothers. No, it isn’t something from the National Enquirer, but a legitimate piece of news.

There’s always something interesting at Enkay Blog. Be sure to go over and take a look!

$100 Review Online Opportunity Contest

When talking about contests in the comments in this post at Jane May Blogs, Jane pointed out that a contest predicting the page rank of Online Opportunity was a long term affair (we wouldn’t know who won until August or September), and that every contest needed a cool prize.

I’ve taken her advice to heart, and am now discontinuing the predict my page rank contest. To be fair to Ronaldo, the one entrant, here’s a link to his blog which contains a variety of topics, including how to make money online as a prize just for entering the predict my page rank contest.

The Review My Blog contest has a deadline of June 16th. A review must be posted on or before June 16th to qualify. The grand prize is $100, and all entrants get a backlink with anchor text of their choice.

The review must link to the top level of the blog with the anchor text “make money online”, and to this post detailing the rules. Here’s an example of appropriate linkage.

Online Opportunity is a blog about how to make money online. Right now Jay’s holding a contest for the best review. To enter to win $100 see the rules here.

Reviews may be of any length and may be positive or negative. The absolute minimum is a couple of sentences with appropriate linkage.

Reviews will be judged subjectively, on categories such as the depth of the review, how insightful it is, how helpful the comments are, how entertaining it is, if it made me spit out my drink laughing, etc. Basically, which one I like the best (negative reviews can certainly qualify on all counts). The winner gets $100 via PayPal (alternate arrangements can be made, too, if you don’t do PayPal).

And since I’m stealing paying homage to Randall Cornett’s contest of the same type, if I end up winning Randall’s contest that prize money will be added to the prize money for this contest, making it a cool $200.

To enter, write a review with appropriate linkage on your blog, and then post a comment here with a link to the review and the anchor text you’d like for your link back.

Good luck to everyone!
