Okay, so I haven’t really been jailed.
I’ve been asked to participate in a local jail-and-bail type of event to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I go and sit in a jail cell for an hour, and hopefully they let me out afterward. That might have something to do with how much money is raised in my name, although surely feeding me three meals a day while they wait for the money to come in is going to cost more than just letting me go.
They’ve got a nice website for directing potential donors to, so in the event that any random strangers stopping by the blog want to help me raise bail, you can go to my page on their website.
They’ve set my bail at $3,600. I have a feeling I may be in the cell for a bit more than an hour.
So, how was it in jail? When did you go and did you meet any new friends? This was more of a harrassing comment. My dad is a correctional officer and he once took me to a jail cell when I was little to show me what it was like. I hope that you raised your money because it changed my entire outlook on life.
I go in on August 8th, so I’m still not sure what it’ll be like. It won’t be long now, though!
Gaje, what did you do to get your father to take you to work with him?!
Jay, is there a parole board, just in case?

I’m pretty sure they let me out in an hour, no matter what. But I don’t actually have that in writing, so who knows?
Jay, better make sure to wear a t-shirt with your blog name on it, for when they take the mug shot!
That’s a great idea! The logo would probably look good on the back of a t-shirt, with the blog address on the front.
