Well, with the fall semester about to start, it was bound to happen.
I’m going to change the posting frequency of Online Opportunity. I’ve been a bit apprehensive about doing this, even though I’ve seen the need approaching, because of all the advice about maintaining a consistent posting schedule.
Well, I’ll still be consistent, just differently so.
My current plan is to keep daily postings throughout the week, but to take Saturday and Sunday evenings off. That will give me extra time to grade student assignments those weeks when I need to, and otherwise spend more time with my two-year old daughter when I don’t. I may pop on to moderate comments Saturday and Sunday while I’m checking email, but that’ll be about it.
In other site news, we’re approaching the four month milestone for the blog, on August 18th. I’m looking forward to another four months!
This blog is supported through sales, not ads (although I am testing Adsense placement right now). 1I think it’s great that you are letting us know this. I need to do something about my schedule..especially when it comes to the weekends.

2I debated for quite a while, but taking some time off during the week is a good thing. It lets you rest and get away from the blog, and keep your energy up for the next week.

3Yep, I wrote about blog depression the other day because I was spreading myself too thin and needed a break from it for a day or two. I’m getting a little more organized and learning my own schedule.

Thanks! I’m not sure I’ll be able to fit all of them in, but I’ll try. We’ll be living in the same town as the college in about a month, so eliminating over 150 miles of driving each day is bound to help.

6I think that most of us are probably going to have to do the same. My children’s school starts on the 21st so the only time I will be able to work online is while they are at school and between errons. My middle daughter gets out at noon, so I only have a few hours to write post. I am still going to try to do it but as you can tell, between school shopping and getting things together, I have not had much time to go blog roaming. I had to stop by though and see what you were up too.

7Hi Rosa, I think it’s best to pace yourself so you keep going, rather than trying to do too much. I’m already spread a bit thin with other projects, so cutting back a bit on posting here helps quite a bit.

8My oldest will be in football this year so we will be doing A LOT of driving back and forth. My 11mth old will be keeping me super busy when they go back to school which means no more chattin’ in the forums and surfin’ for an hour.
I did do the whole blog binder organizer that was on Problogger awhile back and I just now started putting it into action. Being organzied is key to time management.
